Travis and Aaron are preschoolers!

Monday was Travis and Aaron's first day of preschool. They go to the same preschool that Rylee and Connor Ellison went to last year. It's right at the Rockford Administration building. Mrs. C and Mrs. Y are their teachers, and they just love it. The boys were so excited about the tool belts there! Fun, fun toys! I am having a WONDERFUL time during those 2 hours with only 2 kids! I hardley know what to do with myself! Look how cute these boys looked on their first day!!

This is for you, Aunt Sharon!!

Last weekend we had our first annual GIRLS ONLY camping weekend in Pentwater. We had such a great time! Rylee and I went with Kathy (my mother-in-law), Toni and Payton (my sister-in-law and niece), and Aunt Krys, Alivia, and Gabby (my aunt-in-law and cousins-in-law). We also went with 2 other friends, Jan and Georgia. What a fabulous weekend! The weather was beautiful, the craft show was awesome, the shopping was great, and the time spent together was priceless. We had a great time shopping, sitting around the fire, climbing up and running down OLD BALDY, talking, laughing, and relaxing. The little girls even took a chilly dip in Lake Michigan!! I never got a picture of it, but we stayed in Kathy's new motorhome, which is pretty much like staying in a hotel! Fancy schmancy!! We had to figure out how the place works... like you can't put styrofoam plates in the microwave, or they will turn into fortune cookies!
But the first night I got to stay in the tent with the little girls. That was quite an experience! It was super windy and poured rain!! The good thing is, the girls all slept right through it. Good times, good memories! And next year Sharon, Amy, Nikki, Stacey, and Allie ALL BETTER BE THERE!!! Thanks, Kathy, for such a special, memorable weekend!

Travis' New Bedroom!

This weekend I did some rearranging, and now Travis has his own room. He has been sharing with Rylee for the summer, but it wasn't working out so well anymore. So I moved all of our closets out of the mudroom, and now it is Travis' room! The kid is a horrible sleeper, so we are trying anything! But now that Rylee has to get up early for school, it wasn't good having Travis in her room keeping her awake. But I am really happy with the way his room looks, and he has actually stayed in his bed for 2 nights in a row now (as opposed to sleeping on my bedroom floor!). The next project I have for Bryan is to make me a built-in boot box and hook area by our garage door entry way to make up for our mudroom loss! Right now he is building me a new headboard for my bed, so look for pictures of that soon!!

Bath Time!

We were having fun giving Tyson a mohawk in the bathtub, so I snapped a few pics. You just gotta love bath pictures!! :)

Rylee's First Day of School

Well, it's official. Rylee is in Kindergarten! I cannot believe I sent her off on that bus all alone! I can't wait for her to get home and hear about her first day of school! She looked adorable and had no fear at all getting on the school bus. I had tears pouring down my face!! I'm sure this will be the first day of a great year at Lakes Elementary!

Spaghetti Boy

Tyson loooooves to eat Spaghetti!!! It's a huge mess, but he cleans his bowl!!

My Little Girl is 5

Happy 5th Birthday, Rylee! I truly cannot believe she is 5 already. She is getting so big and so smart! We had a huge, fun celebration for Rylee. Both sides of the family were invited to celebrate! Rylee is totally into Princesses, so we had Princess everything! How fitting, since she thinks she is a princess! She got so many presents and she really loves them all! She enjoyed playing with all her cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents!!

Labor Day Breakfast

Every Labor Day, my grandparents on the Hessler side invite the whole family over for breakfast. This year we had GORGEOUS weather and a delicious breakfast. The highlight of the day was when Grandpa Wes took everyone out on a tractor trailor ride with his old 1938 John Deer Tractor. It is so precious to see how much Aaron and Travis look up to Grandpa Wes. They love looking in his barn at all the tools and tractors. They are so blessed to know their great-grandparents!

A Day with Grandma Kathy

Today my sister and I took the kids up to Bryan's mom's house/campground for the day. She spoiled us with pool time, ice cream, pizza, playground playing, jumping on the trampoline, riding bikes, and playing with all her fun toys! Maria and I enjoyed relaxing in the warm sun and soaking up one of these last days of summer! The kids loooove Grandma Kathy, and she truly is a very special Grandma! Thanks, Kathy, for such a fun day!
