My Crafty Husband

I promised pictures of the new headboard, so here they are! Isn't Bryan so talented?? It's beautiful and I love it! And the best part is that I can say he made it!

Travis and Payton turn 4

On Sunday we celebrated Payton and Travis' 4th Birthday. Payton has the princess theme, and Travis had everything Spiderman! Travis is not really 4 until the 30th, so this is just birthday party #1!

Fall Traditions

Every fall Maria and I take the kids out to Klackle Orchards. Although it was freezing cold, we had a great time (how can it be possible that one weekend it is HOT and 90 and the very next it is windy and FREEZING COLD????). The kids LOVE all the activities they have to offer, especially apple picking. Rylee is now an apple expert since she has been working on the apple life school in kindergarten. We were on our hay ride and a guy hopped off to get an apple to eat of a tree. Rylee says to me, "Mom, that guy just pulled the apple right off the tree. You are supposed to go up and twist! Now a new apple can't grow there!" How cute is that?!?! My favorite part of the trip-- getting apple cider and donuts and dutch apple pie!!! (All three are NOT included in my diet!)

Working out with Tyson

The other night Maria came over to work out with me. We started lifting our weights and Tyson goes totally on his own to get the little 2 pounder weights. I look down at him and he is copying us! It was pretty funny!

RHS Homecoming 2007

Bryan and I went to Rockford's Homecoming game with our friends Abby and Brian and Maria and Matt. We had a really fun time! We got there a bit late, so there were NO seats left in the bleachers. So we searched for the best kid-free zone in the grassy area and watched the game from there. I really enjoyed seeing the Homecoming court and all the girls' dresses. I didn't see a single classmate though. But the whole night sure did bring back memories. It seems like just yesterday, but it was 10 years ago!!!! And we totally didn't plan the whole matching shirt thing with Abby and Brian!

Fall Family Pictures

Every fall, my mother-in-law takes some family pictures for us with the fall background. I swear every year it gets more difficult. It doesn't really work with 3 crabby kids and 1 crabby husband. But, amazingly, a few turned out ok (and I still haven't seen the real pictures my MIL took on her fancy camera.) So, everyone vote on which picture should be this year's Christmas card! I'm not crazy about any of them from my camera!
The kids also had so much fun sitting on Grandpa John's tractor and jumping on the trampoline with Uncle Nick!

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall

Saturday night Bryan and I had an end-of-the-summer party. We had a nice bon fire, yummy food, good drinks, great friends, and beautiful weather. I drank too much though, so I wasn't taking many pictures! But thanks, everyone, for coming! We had so much fun!!
