Camping at Yogi Bear

This weekend Maria and I took the kids camping at Yogi Bear Campground in Grand Haven (our husbands enjoyed a kid-free weekend of golfing and relaxing!). This campground is so much fun! There is so much for kids to do there. We enjoyed swimming in the kiddie pool, playing on the huge playground, going on the "Hey Hey Hey" ride, sitting around the campfire, riding bikes, getting ice cream, and sipping on Mudslides (well, Maria and I at least!). It is quite expensive at 45 bucks a night, but I think it was worth it! A special thanks to Maria for all the help with the kids! What a fun, fun weekend we had!! :)

Ionia Free Fair

Every summer my parents take my kids and I to the Ionia Free Fair. This summer we had a great time. The kids loved climbing on all the tractors and pretending to drive them! The kids also got to ride a few rides, and they had a blast! What a great tradition the kids get to share with their grandparents (I used to do the same thing with my grandparents!)! Thanks, Mom and Dad, for being scuh fabulous grandparents! We all had fun!

Our 4th of July Festivities

We sure did have a fun-filled 4th of July! We started out by going on a bike parade in the Rockford Village. We met Auntie Ann and Uncle Ernie and Grandma Jean there! The ice cream truck led the parade, followed by many decorated bikes and strollers, followed by a real fire truck! Everyone in the parade then got free ice cream from the truck! The fire trcuk also stuck around and the kids got to look inside and even sit in the driver's spot. I seriously think this was the all-time best moment of Travis' life! He was so excited! After ice cream, DeeJay the clown came and made lots of balloon animals for the kids. Also, the firefighters hooked their hose up to the hydrant and sprayed water in the pool! That was pretty exciting to see! And to wrap up our day, the kids got to swim in the kiddie pool. We had such a great time! Happy 4th of July!

(I cannot figure out how to rearrange my pictures and my wording so they are all in order, so pardon the mess until I figure this out!)

Maria's Surgery

Last week I took my sister, Maria, in for an outpatient surgery. She had to have a laporoscopy done to check her tubes and to laser off the endometriosis on her uterus. She insisted I take pictures, so I insist I post them! The good news is the surgery went well and she is already feeling better! Now she just needs lots of prayers that a baby will be made soon! ** Note the "before and after pictures" I took of her! :) ***
