My BEAUTIFUL new Stair Rail!!!!

Bryan and I worked so hard this weekend, and we got so much accomplished! The drywall is all finished now, and we got almost the entire basement primed. And just tonight, Bryan finished the stair rail upstairs. It looks SO AWESOME and we both just love it! Next step is to hang the trim and then we will be painting! Things are moving along!!! It's so exciting!

Tyson's Surgery

Last Wednesday, Tyson had an appointment with an ENT to check the fluid in his ears, his hearing, and to see if he needs tubes in his ears. Well, it turned out that he has LOTS of thick fluid in his ears and he also has some hearing loss due to all the goop back there. So they scheduled me an appointment for surgery, and it turned out they had time the very next day. So on Friday morning, my mom and I took Tyson in for surgery. He got tubes in his ears as well as his adnoids removed. He did SO well! Both Rylee and Travis have had surgery before, and I do not do so well. It just makes me a nervous wreck! But for Tyson every thing went A+! After he came out of the anesthesia, he was so cuddly and sweet. He never even cried! He wasn't too excited about the hospital gown, the blood pressure cuff on his leg, and the IV in his arm, but he was a trooper! So now hopefully he can HEAR us better and therefore learn how to speak! I'm so glad we were able to get right in and get the problem taken care of!

3 Spidies

My mother-in-law got the kids these awesome Spiderman capes in Mexico (or was it Texas?). The kids just love them, and they look pretty cute! There is a cape that attaches to the back, you just can't see it in this picture! Thanks, Grandma Kathy, for the great costumes!!

Still under construction...

So, I realize a month has gone by since I have last posted. Sorry for the lack of blogging!! I just have not had my camera around much, and I swear the battery is always dead when I need it! Our basement is coming along slowly but surely. I am HOPING the drywall finisher will be FINISHED tomorrow. He has been working since last Thursday. After the drywall is done, we will be set for trim and then PAINT!!! I am really sick of the plastic hanging from my kitchen ceiling. But let me tell you, it is going to look so awesome when it is done!! My stair rails arrived last week, and they are really sharp!!! It shouldn't be much longer until our basement warming/stock our bar party!!! Woo hooo!!!

Easter Celebration with the Allens

We had a fabulous time on Saturday at Aunt Sharon and Uncle Bud's house. Who knew that plastic eggs and a ceiling fan could really be THAT entertaining?!?!?! I also have some exciting news to share....... Bryan's cousin, Nikki, and her boyfriend, Mike, are engaged!!! We are so happy for them! Mike is a WONDERFUL guy and we are thrilled that he will be a part of our family. Congratulations to both of you!! We are looking forward to a wedding sometime next year!!!! Here are a few pics from our day!

Easter Egg Hunt at OLC

Every year we go to the Knights of Columbus Easter Egg Hunt at my church, and I swear every year it is FREEZING COLD! This year the hunt had to be held indoors due to the great amount of snow on the ground! The kids had a lot of fun and walked away with quite a lot of candy!! Here are the kids with Grandpa Jim waiting for the hunt to begin!

After the egg hunt, I helped my mom and others decorate the church for Easter Sunday. The alter looked like a beautiful flower garden!!

Decorating Easter Eggs

The kids had so much fun decorating their Easter eggs this year. My adorable niece Payton stayed with us for a few days, so she got to join in on the fun. It's so nice that now my kids are old enough to truly appreciate doing these traditional activities... and they can almost do it on their own now! I was very surprised how they all wanted to EAT the eggs right after decorating them! When I was a kid, I had no interest in eating the egg! But hey, craft time turned into snack time quite easily!! :)

Lunch for 6

This is what lunch typically looks like at my house. All the kids line up at the island, each with their designated sippy cup color! I line up their plastic tray-like plates and just scoop in the different food items like an assembly line! Notice my walls in the background are still under construction!!!

We finally got to play outside!

I am so happy when it is warm enough to send the kids OUTSIDE to play. Here are some pictures of the kids enjoying the nice day and getting some fresh air! (They also love any chance they get to try out the new Powerwheels from Christmas! I am quickly finding out how often those darn batteries need to be charged!!)
